CITY OF DRIPPING SPRINGS OFFICIAL REQUEST FOR BIDS

Notice is hereby given that the City of Dripping Springs is soliciting Bids for Ground Maintenance on City Property and Parks.  

REQUEST FOR BIDS: “Ground Maintenance on City Property and Parks”Sealed Bids, must be submitted in one (1) original, (5) copies, and one (1) electronic copy (in PDF format) on CD or flash drive and shall be delivered to: City of Dripping Springs, City Administrator511 Mercer St./P.O. 384Dripping Springs TX 78620Bids must be submitted by 4:00 PM on December 28th, 2018, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids received after the opening date and time will not be considered.Contractors interested in bidding on the City Properties are encouraged to attend a tour of the City Properties on December 21, 2018. If interested in participating in the tour, please contact Craig Rice, Maintenance Director at crice@cityofdrippingsprings.com by 4:00 p.m. on December 20, 2018. The purpose is to ask questions about the contract requirements and to understand the areas to be maintained.

CITY OF DRIPPING SPRINGS OFFICIAL REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The City of Dripping Springs requests the submission of qualifications statements which will lead to the possible award of separate contracts to provide Special Wastewater Counsel; Surveying, Appraiser for Easements; Reviewer Appraiser services for projects involving Wastewater System Improvements. The projects are expected to be funded in part through the Texas Water Development Board's (TWDB) Clean Water (CWSRF) State Revolving Fund and/or Drinking Water (DWSRF) program. The services to be obtained for each professional of Special Wastewater Counsel shall be all legal and financial services, respectively, necessary for the issuance of bonds by the City to the TWDB or other legal sources. The services to be obtained for the surveying services; are necessary for the wastewater system improvements. The services for Appraiser and Appraiser Reviewer will be for the appraisal of certain easements necessary to complete the project. The City will evaluate the proposals for each professional service to determine which firm in each field has the highest qualifications. The special counsel services will be procured through an RFQ proposal process. Proposals must be received no later than 3:00 PM on Friday, December 14, 2018, at the offices of the City of Dripping Springs, ATTENTION: Ginger Faught, Deputy City Administrator, 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas 78620. One (1) original, one (1) electronic and three (3) copies of the proposal must be sealed and clearly marked on the face of the shipping material "Surveying RFQ", “Special Counsel RFQ”, “Appraiser RFQ”, or “Appraiser Reviewer RFQ”. This procurement is subject to Environmental Protection Agency requirements in 40 CFR 31.36. Small, minority, and women business enterprises are encouraged to submit qualification statements for consideration. PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO SIGN ORDINANCE

The Planning and Zoning Commission will consider taking action on the proposed ordinance amendments during its meeting on December 17, 2018.  City Council will review the ordinance after receiving recommendations from the Planning and Zoning Commission.  The city encourages attendance during the public hearings to voice concerns or support for the proposed changes and welcomes feedback prior to the meeting. The City of Dripping Springs will consider a request to approve a Development Agreement between the City of Dripping Springs, Texas and Driftwood 522, LLC (Owner).

The City will consider the proposed Development Agreement on November 27, 2018 during the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting at 6:30 p.m. and during the City Council meeting on December 11, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall located at 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas 78620. Public Hearings will be held at both meetings, during which time all interested persons will have the opportunity to be heard regarding the proposed Development Agreement. The subject property is approximately 522.636 acres of land located in the City’s extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) located southeast of the intersection of FM 1826 and FM 967, and west of Brangus Road (legal description: Tract 1-522.25 Acres and Tract 2-0.1793 Acre out of the Freelove Woody Survey No. 23, Abstract No. 20, Hays County, Texas). 

The proposed development will consist of residential areas, parkland and open space. The proposed Development Agreement includes several provisions, including but not limited to the following: provision of housing; provision of utilities; parkland dedication; environmental protection standards; density and impervious cover limitations and standards; hilltop preservation; outdoor lighting; and architectural standards. The proposed project includes, but is not limited to the following proposed variances/alternative standards: water quality performance standards and development; minimum lot sizes; sidewalks; maximum cuts and fills; residential block lengths and cul-de-sac lengths; maximum impervious cover; minimum lot frontage; and street cross-sections in regards to fire access.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR SUBDIVISION

The City of Dripping Springs is considering administrative approval of a subdivision permit application for Founders Ridge Section 4 Final Plat, approximately 19.158 acres located at 29220 Ranch Road 12 (Legal Description: 102.479 acres in the Philip A. Smith Survey # 26, Abstract A-415, Document No. 2014-14019631 of the Official Public Records of Hays County, Texas). The subdivision permit application is scheduled to be approved no earlier than August 8, 2018 after the review of the subdivision permit application and allowing time for consideration of public comments. The subdivision permit application is available for viewing at Dripping Springs City Hall, 511 Mercer Street. NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR SITE DEVELOPMENT PERMIT

The City of Dripping Springs is considering administrative approval of a site development permit application for the Bunker Ranch Phase 5 Condominiums located at the southwest corner of Highway 290 and Arrowhead Ranch, Dripping Springs, Texas 78620 (Legal Description: Bunker Ranch, Phase 1, Lot 1, Block 1) for the construction of 54 single family condominiums with associated site improvements. This site development permit application is scheduled to be approved July 23, 2018 after the review of the site development permit application and allowing time for consideration of public comments. The site development permit application is available for viewing at Dripping Springs City Hall, 511 Mercer Street. Comments regarding the proposed site development permit application may be emailed to acunningham@cityofdrippingsprings.com or mailed to PO Box 384, Dripping Springs, TX 78620.
