The Founders Day Commission is a ten-member advisory commission tasked with managing the City of Dripping Springs’ Annual Founders Day celebration. The Commission is responsible for planning, promoting, arranging, and organizing Founders Day. The Commission makes recommendations to city council regarding the improvement and safe operation of the Founders Day celebration.
Commission Members are appointed by City Council with two (2 seats) members serving at-large, one (1 seat) member serving as the City Council appointed Chair, and the remaining eight (8 seats) members serving as representatives of the following organizations that are involved with the planning of the Founders Day Festival:

The Commission meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month January through April, and the 2nd Monday of each month May through December at 6:30 p.m. in the Conference Room located at City Hall - 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas. THE CITY OF DRIPPING SPRINGS, TEXAS, ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 15.57 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000.00 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $20.00
